Henry offers a range of air barrier solutions for any construction type, geographical region, and climate, including the broadest line of NFPA 285-tested air barriers for residential and light commercial design:

Henry self-adhered air barriers

Self-adhered water-resistive air barriers from Henry are manufactured to a precise thickness for ease-of-installation and a uniform appearance, forming a continuous membrane after installation.

    • Blueskin VP160
Blueskin VP160 provides vapor-permeable protection, featuring an engineered film and patented permeable-adhesive technology. It fully adheres via weatherboard method with no need for mechanical attachment.
    • Blueskin SA
Blueskin SA features an SBS rubberized asphalt compound laminated on a blue polyethylene film, easily installed on a variety of surfaces. It self-seals when penetrated with self-tapping screws and remains flexible at low temperatures.
    • Blueskin SA LT
This variation of Blueskin SA, when assembled with primer and BES sealant by Henry, meets strict ASTM E-2357 air leakage requirements.
    • Metal Clad
Commonly used in conjunction with Air-Bloc and Blueskin membranes, this self-adhesive waterproofing and air barrier membrane provides excellent UV and weather resistance. It features dual-layers of high-strength polyethylene with a surface layer of metallic aluminum film. Note: Priming required for maximum adhesion.

Henry fluid-applied air barriers

Henry offers fluid-applied water-resistive air barriers solutions for every substrate and climate.

    • Air-Bloc All-Weather STPE
Air-Bloc All-Weather STPE is a single-component, rain-ready, UV-resistant, and vapor-permeable air barrier membrane. With a high solids content and rapid cure time, it can be spray, roller, or brush-applied in temperatures down to 10°F. Rain-ready in just 30-minutes, it reduces weather delays.
    • Air-Bloc 06WB
Low odor and environmentally-friendly, Air-Bloc 06WB is a single-component barrier comprised of an elastomeric asphalt-emulsion with crack-bridging capabilities. It provides a continuous air, vapor, and water barrier following application to most construction surfaces, curing to a tough, rubber-like finish. Spray application (preferred) or trowel-applied.
    • Air-Bloc 07
This single-component, solvent-type, polymer-modified bitumen air barrier is trowel-applied and suitable for year-round use.
    • Air-Bloc 16MR
Air-Bloc 16MR is a single-component, vapor impermeable membrane with fire-resistant technology that achieves compliance with the strictest NFPA 285 requirements. Best for application temperatures above 20°F.
    • Air-Bloc 17MR
Air-Bloc 17MR is a single-component, low-temp, vapor-permeable rubberized membrane with proprietary fire-resistant technology that conforms with ASTM E1354. It can be spray, roller, or brush-applied to common construction surfaces, including damp concrete in temperatures down to 20°F.
    • Air-Bloc 21
Air-Bloc 21 is a solvent-type, synthetic rubber-based insulation adhesive for use on common construction surfaces. It can be trowel-applied in temperatures as low as 10°F. It is ideal for use as a full bed adhesive with rigid foam or semi-rigid paper-faced insulation.
    • Air-Bloc 21FR
A similar formulation to Air-Bloc 21, but with fire-resistive properties.
    • Air-Bloc 31MR
Air-Bloc 31MR is a water-based, single-component, non-asphaltic, rubberized emulsion air barrier membrane. Apply this low-odor formula by spray, roller, or trowel. It is ideal for retrofits and can be applied from the inside wall of occupied buildings. Best for application temperatures above 40°F.
    • Air-Bloc 32MR
Air-Bloc 32MR is a low-VOC, single-component elastomeric membrane that cures to a rubber-like finish, providing continuous coverage. It applies by spray or trowel and is compatible for use with damp concrete and polystyrene insulation, retaining flexibility over a wide range of temperatures.
    • Air-Bloc 33MR
Air-Bloc 33MR is a water-based, single-component, UV and fire-resistant rubberized emulsion air barrier membrane. It can be applied by spray, roller, or trowel and is ideal for use with wall assemblies with open-face cladding panels. Best for application temperatures above 40°F.
